Food Drop
Due to the economic crisis in Michigan, a 32% increased need has been reported by Lansing Food Banks in December. As the Church of Greater Lansing, our goal was to raise $40,000 to feed all reported 2,000 families in need during the month of January. We purchased semi-trucks of food from the Mid Michigan Food Bank and our congregations hand-delivered food boxes to feed families in need.
Christmas Journey
In December, we come dressed warm and ready to travel. We trek through the Creation, Bethlehem and beyond, then return to the church for warm cookies, hot chocolate, and candy cane making. Our 30-minute tours departing between 6 and 9 p.m., and golf carts available for special needs. If you're looking for a simple way to come alongside those who decide to begin following Jesus, this is the perfect opportunity!
National Day of Prayer
Now, more than ever, Michigan needs God's intervention. Many people are feeling completely hopeless! On May 7, 2009 Trinity Church participated as part of the Church of Greater Lansing for the National Day of Prayer. Members stood in the gap on behalf of our community and asked the Lord God Almighty to reveal Himself as The Hope of the Nations!
