Early Childhood Common Questions

Do I need to register my child?
Yes, children must be registered and need to wear a nametag in order to enter the Early Childhood area. Register at the Children’s Registration desk.

Where do I take my child?
After registering, take your child to their age-specific room.  This may be different depending on the service you attend.  You will be given directions on how to enter the secured area and where your child’s room is located when you register.

Can anyone pick up my child after class?
Only parents or guardians will be allowed to pick up a child. We ensure this process by using an electronic attendance sticker.

How do you know what belongs to my child?
You should label all items you bring to the Early Childhood area, including diaper bags, bottles, sippy cups, blankets, and jackets. Please do not bring toys from home. There are clean, age-appropriate toys in each room.

Do you feed my child?
Infants will be fed premixed formula, milk, juice, or water if you provide it in a bottle.
Toddlers are served a snack of Cheerios.

I’m a nursing mother. Is there a room available for me?
A Nursing Room is indeed available for nursing mothers. It is located in the 0–5 month nursery room.

What if my child isn’t feeling healthy?
For the protection of your child and other children, please do not bring an ill child to Early Childhood.  If your child has exhibited any of these symptoms within 24 hours of service time, please do not bring him or her to church:

  • Fever
  • Vomiting or diarrhea
  • Green discharge from nose or eyes
  • Any unexplained rash
  • Pink eye
  • Skin infections (boils, ringworm, or impetigo)
  • Any symptom of childhood diseases, such as: scarlet fever, measles, mumps, chicken pox, or whooping cough

Do you offer any classes during the week?
On alternating Wednesday mornings, MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) meets and on Thursday morning, a women’s study is offered. Childcare is available during both of these offerings. For more information, click here.
