Due to the economic crisis in Michigan, last year a 32% increased need was reported by Lansing Food Banks. In surrounding areas (Mason, Haslett, Dewitt, etc.), first-time families requesting help was up by 18%. These numbers have continued to increase this year. Within the last 2 months, Ingham County alone has helped 362 new families. The unmet meal gap is at 36%. Many food banks have been unable to meet demands and are turning families away. More info...

To succeed, we need to feed 3,000 families x $25/box = $75,000.
