On January 13, 2010, Trinity sent $5,000 on behalf of our congregation to World Relief to help with emergency assistance. We encourage you to prayerfully consider how you and your family may be part of responding compassionately and quickly to this natural disaster.

 

May we suggest that you:
  • Stay informed of developments. BBC World Service, Reuters, etc. are good sources of information, as are local news services.
  • Donate additional money online through any of the many credible Christian relief organizations.
  • Pray for the children, families, and communities affected; remember too, the various churches, relief agencies, and governments responding to this catastrophe.

February 5, 2010 Update

Last Thursday, Trinity staff met with staff from other churches in the Greater Lansing area to share ongoing responses and consider couple of city-wide possibilities that would raise awareness and finances to help a specific network of churches in one of the districts of Port-au-Prince. This Sunday, a group of Trinity attendees will formally meet to continue planning and praying on how best we stay engaged in the aftermath of the Haiti earthquake. We are in close touch with World Relief as go about this process of deliberation.
