Our Thoughts on Authentic Community

We aren't interested in being a place where a lot of people get together for an inspiring worship service, but never move beyond casual, arm's-distance relationships.  We want our people to be spiritually healthy by really "doing life together." And we find that people who are growing in their relationship with God also grow in their friendships with each other.  Authentic community is knowing and being known, loving and being loved, celebrating and being celebrated, serving and being served.

An Adult Community...

• is a group of 15-75+ people who meet in smaller groups to relate to each other as members of the same community within our church.
• can be a mix of ages, but are usually organized by peer groups or similar life stages.
• is a  place to develop faith as you gather for prayer and to explore God's Word.
• is a welcoming place for adults to be known and feel at home.
• provides opportunities to serve that enhance group unity.
• cares for each other’s needs through the use of community members' abilities and spiritual gifts.
• offers casual fellowship, sometimes with refreshments, so that people can catch up on what's happening in each other's lives.
