Internationals @ Trinity is a group composed of many nations and languages inclusive of students, scholars, singles, families, and American friends getting together to encourage one another to grow in the knowledge and faith of Jesus Christ. The group sponsors various activities including:
- Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL)
- Sunday Morning International Class
- Home Bible Studies
- Large Group Events
- Outreach Programs
1) Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL)
Internationals and their family members are encouraged and welcome to take advantage of free English classes offered through Trinity Church. These classes, which include levels of beginning, advanced, and conversational, are taught by volunteer teachers and tutors and held on Monday evenings from 7-9pm September through May. Transportation is also provided to and from the MSU campus for class attendees.

What: To help internationals with language skills and learn about the American culture
When: Mondays 7-9pm from September 14 through November 23, 2009; Spring Semester dates are Mondays 7-9pm from January 11 through April 26, 2009
Where: Trinity Church, 3355 Dunckel Road, Lansing, MI
Taught by: Teachers and tutors who have experience and training in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL)
Registration: Open registration. You may still register the first night of classes.
Materials: Various resources, including the Holy Bible as reading text
English Classes offered:
- Beginner
- Intermediate
- Advanced
- Conversational English / Reading class
Note: Children’s class and nursery are also available for families with children.
Other services offered:
- Free childcare only for children (4 years old and younger) of parents enrolled in ESOL classes
- Free bus service from and to MSU campus:

2) Sunday Morning International Class
Every Sunday morning at 11am, Internationals from more than 20 countries gather for a time of worship, prayer, and small group Bible discussion. On the third Sunday of each month, attendees are invited to bring a dish and share a meal with other Internationals immediately following the class. Transportation is available to and from Trinity on Sunday mornings upon request.
Fall 2009 classes offered:
1) Discovering the Bible - this study welcomes people who:
- have little or no prior knowledge of the Holy Bible
- desire to know what the Holy Bible teaches
- want to improve conversation skills in small group discussions with native English speakers
2) The Book of Philippians - study on how to live as a follower of Christ; open to everyone
3) Developing Effective Godly Habits - forming effective habits by adapting the principles in the Holy Bible as the model; open to everyone

3) Home Bible Studies
Internationals @ Trinity would love to welcome you to their homes, and offer small group Bible studies to choose from which meet regularly on Thursday or Friday evenings at 7:30pm. Meetings are informal and consist of light-hearted conversation with ample opportunities to explore the relevance of the Bible in daily living.

- Dozie Amuzie - Fridays at 7:30pm; currently studying the book of Colossians
- John & Bonnie Bankson - Sundays at 7pm; currently studying the book of Acts
- Norm & Joan Bell - Thursdays at 7pm; currently studying the Gospel of Mark
- Danny & Annalie Campos - Alternating Fridays at 7:30pm; currently studying "Images of Christ"
- John & Inge Diehl - Fridays at 7:30pm; currently studying the book of Philippians
4) Large Group Events
We celebrate holidays such as Christmas, Easter, 4th of July, and Thanksgiving dinner in homes. Each fall, a Friendship Festival with sports and an ice cream social is held to welcome new Internationals.
5) Outreach Programs
Internationals may also avail themselves of free seminars and workshops held periodically by MSU professors attending Trinity Church. Topics may include: cross-cultural adjustments, coping with academic challenges, and student-faculty relations.
